The National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (French: Institut national de recherche en informatique et en automatique, INRIA ), operating under the dual authority of the Ministry of Research and the Ministry of Industry, is dedicated to fundamental and applied research in information and communication science and technology (ICST). The Institute also plays a major role in technology transfer by fostering training through research, diffusion of scientific and technical information, development, as well as providing expert advice and participating in international programs. INRIA contributes to F-Lab through three project teams: D-NET, Planet and POPS.

  • D-NET  project team deals with problems related to the measurement, analysis and modelling of large-scale dynamic networks. Its goal is to cope efficiently with the design of novel notions and methods for the analysis of dynamic graphs that enable researchers to model, measure and analyze.
  • Planète project team focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating Internet protocols and applications. It aims to propose and study new architectures, services and protocols that will enable group and secured communication through the Internet.
  • POPS project team investigates solutions to enhance programmability, adaptability and reachability of small objects designated by POPS (Portable Objects Proved to be Safe) investigating communicating and embedded algorithms.

Planète is involved in the current OneLab2 project in which Thierry Parmentelat serves as Technical Director and will bring to F-Lab its knowledge of the platform.

D-NET and POPS project teams are partners of the collaborative projects SensLAB and Senstools lead by Eric Fleury. They will bring their knowledge of SensLAB tools and architecture, together with their expertise in wireless networks.
